Applying for Membership in the 2018 BMB
"Live While We're Young"

UPDATE 6/1/18   All sections have met their enrollment goals except for Colorguard and BMB Dancer.  If you are interested in one of these two sections please contact us right away.  If you are interested in an instrumental spot (other than percussion) go ahead and submit an application.  There is some flexibility in the wind line number.  Dr. Dickerson will be out of town until June 22 but he will communicate with you as soon as he returns.

Admission to the BMB is competitive and is limited by our inventory of uniforms and equipment.  The BMB does not have alternates, therefore every person who is accepted will have a spot in the show.

A critical component of BMB membership is your ability to commit to the entire performance schedule.
Absense from a performance is not allowed except under extreme circumstances and by advance consent of the director.

Incoming Music Education students:  Marching band is a required course in your degree program.   You must, however, complete this application to claim your spot.  Once your section is filled you will not have a spot if you have not applied.

NOTES
*Instrumentation may be adjusted based on strength of applications within each section.

*Most sections have already exceeded their target enrollments but we are still accepting applications. We have more flexibility this year with section numbers so the section goals should not be considered final.  You should apply for your first choice instrument but let us know if you play a secondary instrument and would consider marching in that section.

*Due to an extremely large number of early applications our processing time is slow.  Don't be alarmed.

*There is no international tour in 2018-19 but be patient.  We are already working on an international trip for 2019-20 that will rival or exceed this year's trip to Southeast Asia.
