Adam Daun
Clarinet
Adam Daun is an Interior Install Technician for the Appleton, WI branch of Gulfstream Aerospace, working on various interior components for new G600 and G650 private jets. On a day to day basis, Adam could be doing anything from making repairs to fiberglass, to fabricating sheet metal brackets from scratch. When Adam isn’t at work, he can be found coaching Boys Volleyball for Fox Valley Performance as both a Head Coach for one of the Regional Teams, and as an Assistant Coach for multiple National Teams.
Adam was enrolled at UW Eau Claire from 2015-2019. During his time there, Adam explored many different fields of study, including Geology, Actuarial Science, and Business Administration. After three and a half years at UWEC, Adam decided to move on to a different path with his life, using the credits he accumulated to earn an Associate Degree. He then pursued various full time positions, eventually landing at Gulfstream.
Adam spent four seasons with the Blugold Marching Band. During that time, he was lucky enough to serve as the Clarinet Section Leader for his Junior and Senior Years, and also called the band to attention for each performance with the “Call to Glory” for both of those seasons. Adam is incredibly proud to have received both the Spirit of the BMB and the Brandon Atherton awards.
“The BMB has given me some of the most important memories of my life. From waking up super early for band camp week, to storming onto the field at US Bank Stadium, to the unending laughs with the band and my section. If I could, I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. The band gave me a space to truly be myself and surrounded me with so many people just like me. If the band hadn’t given me the amazing section that the Clarinets were, I truly believe that I would not be who I am today and my name would not be among the list of Atherton Recipients. It is my sincerest hope that the band never stops being a home for all its members.”
